…our life with Jesus
…our relationships with each other
…our opportunities to serve
The faithful love of the LORD never ends! His mercies never cease. Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning. I say to myself, “The LORD is my inheritance; therefore, I will hope in him!” Lamentations 3:22-24
Summer Women's Life Group: The Book of Acts
Tuesdays, June 2 - August 25, 10-11:30 am
Meetings will be held via Zoom
The book of Acts is one of the most exciting parts of the whole Bible. Jesus has ascended to heaven, the Spirit has come to the church and we see God at work. The Spirit empowers God’s people to fulfill the command of Jesus to preach the gospel to the ends of the earth, and in this fast-paced section of the Bible we see the growth of the church.
The book of Acts is a unique book because it is transitional. It transitions us from the time of Christ in the Gospels to the time of the church, in the Epistles. In Acts we see, the ascension of Christ and the beginning of the great commission where the gospel leaves Jerusalem and heads to the uttermost parts of the earth – and eventually right to us today.
There are 5 readings a week, for 13 weeks. There will be weekly Zoom meetings to discuss our reading. As things open, we will possibly change to physically meetings. Click here for the weekly reading plan.
All women are welcome, feel free to invite your friends to join us.
To get started:
NOTE: It’s okay if you cannot make all the meetings because of other summer commitments. Keep reading on vacation or catch up when you’re home and join in when you can!
