Why Discipleship

Simply put we believe discipleship is important because that is the model that Jesus gave us to follow.

Matthew 4:19  “Come, follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.”

What is a disciple ?

A disciple is one who is committed to:

  • Following Jesus.
  • Being changed by Jesus.
  • Being on mission with Jesus.

Discipleship Groups

Jesus modeled for us the importance of a small group when He met with the twelve disciples. Jesus made disciples in relational environments. He has called us to make disciples in real relationships with others. Small groups are an essential part of Christian growth. Here at Northshore our small groups take place as community life groups, young adult small groups, men’s small groups and women’s small groups.
