KidsQuest (Birth-5th Grade)

Welcome to KidsQuest!

It is our passion to help children experience who Jesus is, and partner with parents to grow them spiritually. We believe that God has designed two powerful influences in the life of a child, the heart of the family (represented by red) and the light of the church (represented by yellow)! When we work together we can have a greater impact in the hearts of our kids! It is our motto to 'think orange' (red & yellow combined) as we partner in teaching them what it means to love God, love people and disciple others. In this busy and complex world we live in, we hope to come along side your family and provide a safe and encouraging place where kids can come to know Jesus, experience community, and grow confident in who God has made them to be.

Nursery and Toddlers (Birth – 2 years)

Children experience the love of Christ through the care and attention of our nursery ministry team. We strive to nurture the youngest among us in a safe & warm environment; a place that communicates God’s love through joyful interaction, gentle patience, and encouraging words.

Preschool (3 years – Pre-K)

Children will explore the Bible through stories which depict God’s love and instruction. They gain skill and confidence through interactive play and crafts. Age appropriate activities are designed to promote listening skills and cooperation, while high value is placed on the fun factor of learning and interacting with friends. You can plan on lots of jumping, singing, dancing, and laughter in every experience as we focus on three important truths:

God LOVES me.
God MADE me.
Jesus wants to be my FRIEND forever.

Elementary (Kindergarten – 5th Grade)

We believe the Bible should never be boring, our music can be really fun & loud, and good leaders always care!  Before kids head off to middle school, we want to make sure these three things stick:

I need to make the wise choice.
I can trust God no matter what.
I should treat others the way I want to be treated.

All these truths are unpacked in the context of a “small group”, 8-10 kids who consistently connect with the same small group leader, at the same service hour, throughout the school year.  We want kids to see how God’s Word fits into their lives, to learn how to talk with him, and to build lasting friendships with peers and mentors who encourage them in their faith journey.

“Showing people on the outside what God has done on the inside.”

Is your child curious about Baptism?  Kids, along with parents or an adult mentor, are invited to attend KidsQuest Baptism Class (scheduled quarterly) as we explore the significance and meaning of baptism in our faith journey.

Baby Dedications

At Northshore, we wait until our children are old enough to believe and understand the true meaning of baptism before we baptize them. It must be their decision and it must be accompanied by faith and repentance. A baby or a young child has not reached the age of accountability and does not understand sin or the need for Christ.
