Biblical Discipleship in Relational Environments
Jesus modeled for us the importance of a small group when He met with the twelve disciples. Jesus made disciples in relational environments. He has called us to make disciples in real relationships with others. Small groups are an essential part of Christian growth. Here at Northshore our small groups take place as home groups, young adult groups, men's groups and women's Groups.
Home Groups are the primary vehicle by which we carry out the vision and mission of Northshore Christian Church. Home Groups range in size from 5 to 16 people. They are community based relational environments of men and women that meet for the purpose of biblical discipleship. The Home Group provides opportunity for honest, transparent and authentic relationships.
Home Groups are led by a married couple who uses approved biblical curriculum as well as the Real Life Discipleship model to facilitate the group and invest into the lives of others. Every home group is encouraged to raise up apprentices who will become group leaders when they are ready to be sent out.
Engage - Young Adult groups are a place for biblical discipleship in relational environments of other young adults. They are co-ed groups of 18 to 25 year olds. These groups are here to help young men and women transition from their high school past into adulthood within healthy biblical environments.
We have groups all over Snohomish County. In order to strategically reach all of Snohomish County, we have broken out our groups into four geographic communities. Pastors and Home Group Coaches are assigned to each community to help the groups minister to the people in their communities.
- North Community (Marysville, Arlington, Stanwood)
- East Community (Lake Stevens, Snohomish, Monroe)
- Central Community (East of I-5: Silver Lake, Mill Creek, Silver Firs, Bothel)
