Kindergarten – 3 Grade:
Opening activities are designed to promote student interaction and creativity in a fun, inclusive environment. Young readers begin to gain skills in navigating God’s word and continue to explore the great stories and characters of the Bible. Children begin to explore more personal application from these lessons, and work to commit scripture to memory. Our K – 1st graders begin services in age specific classrooms, they later come together as a large group. The 2nd - 3rd graders stay in their classrooms and are joined by the 4th-5th graders. Here they experience energetic praise & worship, and further explore our lesson through creative performing arts and dynamic media. Remaining class time is devoted to games & learning activities which reinforce the lesson.
You can find the Kindergarten and the 1st grade classes down stairs in our back building, and the 2nd - 3rd grade class in B-108.
4th – 5th Grade:
An emphasis is placed on connecting peers in supportive friendships. Ministry leaders place high value on growing mentor relationships with young people. Although opening activities are designed to engage all kids in interactive, creative, and inclusive gatherings, boys and girls separate in gender specific small groups for discussion and pre-teaching activities. Bible stories and character studies take on greater depth and personal application. Students are exposed to opportunities to develop as prayer partners. They are equipped to navigate their bibles with greater confidence, and are recognized for committing scripture to memory. During Large group worship and lesson times, 4th & 5th graders are afforded leadership opportunities as worship team members, first impression hosts, and in media/tech support. Large group gatherings are focused on energetic praise & worship, as well as creative performing arts and dynamic media presentations.
The 4th-5th grade class is located in A-2.
